GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF DISPENSING OPTICIANRY

To produce skilled manpower in the art of ophthalmic dispensing (i.e mounting of

spectacles lenses on frames, production of lenses; marketing of eye wears).

. To provide such training as would equip graduates of the programme to collaborate

with other eye care practitioners in providing eye-care services.

. To produce dispensing opticians who are well grounded in the general management

of ophthalmic dispensing.

.To produce dispensing opticians who could satisfy internationally recognized

standards in dispensing optics.
